Some opinions because I can't let it go

"He obviously doesn't REALLY want to be with you. He's giving you these excuses because he doesn't want to be in a relationship with you. He is probably a nice guy and he doesn't want to hurt/lose you either because he obviously does like you... just not enough to be in a relationship with you. Guys will say anything to get a hook up, he said what he had to say and then he took it back, that should be obvious."

"Although it is normal to talk about your past with any new relationship, it is not normal to keep bringing up your ex. It is a warning sign if he brings her up, whether or not it is in a positive or negative context. If he is over his ex, he will not discuss her unless you specifically ask him about it."

"He does not pretend to listen but actually does so and gives you his undivided attention, he likes you and respects your opinion and more importantly he respects your feelings. His action says that he attaches great value to whatever you have to say and it will come only when he likes you."
