Money honey

I am so fucking tired of the mother talking about money all the time. I mean, honestly, we can afford things. Her incomes are as high as the husbands of most families where the wife doesn't work and my father makes as much as her. Why does she need to bring up what everything costs all the time!? It's incredibly anxiety inducing. I know things are expensive and I know I wont be able to afford a lot of the things I have now when I move out but can't she let me live it out now? I don't recklessly spend money without thinking so I don't see the problem.
