I get it now

The other week I was having dinner with F-who I love having dinner with because she doesn't care how I eat-and she was stressing about her bf hanging out with his ex that same night.

I told her not to worry because he broke up with her for a reason and even if it feels like she's so much better in so many ways, it was his choice to move on. And if he wanted to be with that other girl, it would happen whether she wanted or not and rather sooner than later.

Now I get it.

This is why you shouldn't talk about exes on a first date.
