No matter how many horse shows I sit through because my sister likes to watch them, not a single one gets the facts right. I'd just like to list some common misconceptions:
-Horses don't neigh when they're scared.
-Horses are not afraid of snakes. They wont even notice the snake until it bits them in the face.
-You don't tie a horse onto something by the reigns. They will hurt themselves on the bit if they get scared.
-There is not a group of young girls in every stable who have control over almost everything and battle against a mean, rich girl who abuses her horse.
-Wearing tops that bare your stomach is not appropriate attire to be around horses.
-When you fall off your horse in the forest, it will run home, but it won't run back to you to show everyone where you are.
It just goes on and on.
