Is is selfish to stay friends with someone who wants more than friendship?

Somehow yes but it depends.

SvaraRaderaYes and No. If the person tells you that they want more than friendship, then you either break off contact because you don't feel he same way or try to maintain a friendship tht will probably eventially fail. In that case it's selfish to want to keep on, since the other party is clearly hurt. But if the other party hasn't said anything about them feeling differently then you can blame it on them because how could you know? Though it's selfish then, too. Yes, it's always going to be selfish to try and stay friends with a person who wants more than just friendship.
SvaraRaderaBut the thing is, if I'm in love with some one and can't be with them, I want anything I can get, and friendship is somehow better than nothing.. But maybe that's just short-term.
