Sex and love: the chicken and egg sort of situation

What comes first, sex or love? According to cosmopolitan, women need to be in love to have sex, and men need to have sex to fall in love. As for me personally, the best way to make me fall in love is being great in bed, and loving me back. Sometimes I worry, though, because according to some other girly article, sex to soon can confuse your feelings and make you fall in love with someone who actually sort of annoys you. I mean, the honeymoon phase where you do nothing but have sex and talk about how much you love each other for the first two months of a relationship, is a real thing. When the it's not "new" anymore, there needs to be something else there. Sure, having sex with someone because you have feelings for them is great, but sometimes I wonder if it isn't rather the case that we do that because we ran out of things to talk about.
