We can still be friends

Today, children, I'd like to talk about the much repeated theme of "risking to ruin a friendship".

You see, it usually goes down like this: 2 people who have been friends for a while end up hooking up. Afterwards they decide they don't want to get together because they don't want to ruin the friendship. Well guess what? 90% of the time it's already ruined. If nothing else, terribly awkward. Because one friend did want something with the other anyways.

Oh the disasters our hormones create.

Even if it does work out and you're friends with someone after, there's still a shitload of nervosity about it, like does he like me do i like him what if i dont like him and he likes me or the other way around blah blah blah.

So basically, don't hook up with people you cherish as friends. Because it doesn't end in relationships. Relationships start with getting to know someone, not with being close friends. And not with having sex either.
