What is love?

"Love is the only sane and satisfactory answer to the problem of human existence."

Today me and Lara got on the topic of what love is.
I'll tell you what I think love is.

Love is just those things people tell you that put tears in your eyes.
I'd like to write more detail, but I don't want this to blow out of proportion: Last year I had some personal problems, they are still there but they are less significant. It affected my life a lot and I was often really annoyed with people. My friends sticking by me and being there for me even when I refused to admit something was wrong, that's love. Eliah once said "You don't need to tell me what's wrong, I'm there for you".
When Lara notices somethings wrong while nobody else possibly could, because she's just like me, that's love.
To me, romantic love is not much different from the love you have for friends. Maybe that means I don't know "real" love, if so, I'm okay with that, because the love I know of is enough.

How do you know if you've ever been in love? If you never have, you can't right? Because you can't identify a feeling you've never had, that's like trying to see a color you've never seen before.

Now my mom's coming home so I have to clean the kitchen.
