Life after highschool

Hello boys and girls. Sorry it's been a while.

It always used to annoy me when grown-ups would tell me that life gets harder after high school. Now that I know I can tell you all that it's not true, it just gets hard in other ways. I think we all underestimate how much our parents do around the house, in terms of cleaning, buying stuff, fixing stuff, paying bills and all that. I mean, I always pitched in and did the dishes but if I ever forgot, the dishes would have magically vanished by the next day. Now, I generally just face disappointment from M for the fact that I didn't make the dishes magically disappear. Other than fighting over dishes, the whole living together thing is actually working out kind of great. He's learning what a psycho I really am and I'm discovering how dependent he is, but then, for a 24-year-old who's been living with a mother hen for his whole life, what would I expect. But he's nice to me even when I'm all irrational, generally does what I ask of him and he doesn't mind vacuum cleaning. And it's nice to share a bed with someone.
As for my professional advances, I now passively work at the cafe for a few days a week, since the owner hired a 24-year-old with experience to run the place. It's challenging to work for people who have completely different values than you, but I'm doing my part while holding back the impulse to choke my co-workers every time they make grammar mistakes. I spend my free time working out and browsing the internet for universities I want to apply to. I'm leaning towards business and I'm optimistic that I'll get in to St Gallen, but I'll probably apply to a bunch of universities all over Europe.
I'm also looking around for more job opportunities, maybe in a bar or as a substitute teacher. I'll leave you with that nice contrast for now, and I promise it won't be as long until my next post.
Hugs and kisses (in all the right places - just kidding I'm taken ;))
